About us

Just like image, sound has a story to tell. It does not only reach our ears, we sense it with our entire body. Like our sense of smell, it touches us very deeply whether we are conscience of it or not. Even before birth, hearing is our first sense to be developed in the womb and just like scent it can be very direct. For that reason sound is a very powerful medium. Yet it still often goes unnoticed, almost as if we took our ears for granted...

Unheard Film Foundation is a small organisation of several freelancers. At the moment Unheard Film Festival is the main activity, but we hope to realise other projects concerning cinematic sound in in the future.
